Originality and Plagiarism Policy

The International Journal of Humanities, Social Sciences and Literary Research(IJHSLR) maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism. All submitted manuscripts are screened for originality using advanced plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin, iThenticate) before the peer review process.

1. Acceptable Similarity Index

• Total similarity should not exceed 10–15%, excluding references and commonly used phrases.
• Manuscripts exceeding this threshold may be returned to authors for revision or rejected outright.

2. Unacceptable Types of Plagiarism

• Verbatim copying of text, data, or ideas without proper attribution.
• Self-plagiarism or redundant publication.
• Manipulation or misrepresentation of images, tables, or data without proper credit.

3. Actions on Plagiarism Detection

• Before publication: Manuscripts found to violate plagiarism standards will be rejected immediately.
• After publication: Articles may be retracted, and the author’s institution may be notified.

4. Compliance

• IJHSLR follows UGC and COPE publication ethics guidelines.
• Authors are required to submit a Plagiarism Declaration Certificate at the time of manuscript submission.
